Scholarships

The Fasken Foundation is committed to helping qualified students acquire a college education by providing financial assistance for an undergraduate degree in an accredited college or university in the State of Texas.  Educational loans are not part of this program.

High School Graduate Scholarships:

The Fasken Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors from the following schools: Early College High School, Midland Senior High School, Legacy Senior High School, Greenwood High School, and Ft. Stockton High School.  To be eligible for a Fasken Foundation Scholarship a student must:

  1. Be a citizen of the United States.

  2. Be unmarried.

  3. Be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the sponsoring school to receive the award based on (in descending order of importance):

    1. Citizenship

    2. Financial need for assistance in attending college

    3. Scholastic achievement

    4. Participation in extracurricular activities

Interested students should contact their school counselor for information and applications. 
The scholarship committee at each participating school selects the appropriate number of students (and one alternate) from each year’s graduating class for the full scholarship program. After selections are made, a contract will be executed between the Foundation and each recipient.

 

Midland College Graduating Sophomore Scholarship:

The Fasken Foundation awards scholarships to sophomores at Midland College who wish to continue their education at a four year accredited college or university in the State of Texas.  To be eligible for a Fasken Foundation Scholarship a student must:

  1. Be a citizen of the United States.

  2. Be unmarried.

  3. Be selected by the Financial Aid staff at Midland College to receive the award based on (in descending order of importance):

    1. Citizenship

    2. Financial need for assistance pursuing a baccalaureate degree

    3. Scholastic achievement

    4. Participation in extracurricular activities

Interested students should contact the Financial Aid Office at Midland College for information and applications.
The Financial Aid Office staff, in consultation with Foundation staff, selects two students (and one alternate) from each year’s graduating class for the full scholarship program. After selections are made, a contract will be executed between the Foundation and each recipient.

Midland College Scholarship Funds:

The Fasken Foundation awards scholarships to students at Midland College through the Financial Aid office at the school.  Interested students should contact the Financial Aid office at Midland College and reference the Fasken Foundation Scholarship.
