GRANT PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Guidelines

As a private 501C3 corporate foundation, The Fasken Foundation primarily reviews and grants those requests for youth, health and human services, and education. Requests from programs with an emphasis placed on serving disadvantaged youth will receive preferential consideration. The foundation does not provide funds for capital improvements, preferring instead to support organizations seeking operational funds.
Grant requests are reviewed each quarter. Each entity requesting a grant may make only one application annually. Approximately 80% of the grant funds are distributed in the area around Midland, Texas, with the remaining 20% distributed in those other communities where members and directors live. Requests from organizations in those communities are considered only upon recommendation of board member(s) residing in those communities.

The Fasken Foundation board of directors meets quarterly in October, January, April, and July. Application deadlines for these meetings are September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30. Please note that these dates are arranged in grant year order allowing distributions to be made in a calendar year. Applications must be received in the Fasken Foundation online system by 5pm on the date of the deadline.

Online Grant Portal

The Foundation utilizes an online grants management system. All applications should be submitted using the online system. If you have questions about the system, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The online portal may be accessed here: Online Grant Portal. After clicking the link, you will be directed to either create a new account in the system or log on if you have already created an account.

Initial Applicants

First time applicants are asked to submit a letter of inquiry using the online grant management system. After this information is reviewed by The Fasken Foundation Grants Committee and Board of Directors, the initial applicant will either be notified: 1) that our Foundation is interested in the project and now the initial applicant is asked to submit the full application online; or 2) that your project does not fit our required criteria.

Recurring Applicants

Please log in to the online grant management system and choose the process related to the calendar year in which you wish to receive funding.
